The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf has an opening for a Cleaning Specialist to work full time at the Roasting & Distribution facility based in Camarillo, CA. The Cleaning Specialist performs a wide variety of cleaning and housekeeping tasks and may be utilized throughout the entire facility during their shift. He/she is frequently expected to check in with his/her supervisor, and is tasked with ensuring that his/her scheduled work is completed to standard for output and quality each shift. The Cleaning Specialist will perform in a manner that meets company standards with regards to productivity, service, security, safety, and confidentiality. Must be available on weekends.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Complete cleaning tasks in Roasting, coffee production, tea production, Warehouse, and general facility areas as described in the Master Cleaning Schedule
  • Operate forklift, scissor lift, and pallet jack as required to clean hard-to-reach area
  • Perform dilution of cleaning reagent per SOP
  • Fill out Cleaning Logs and other forms as required
  • General housekeeping of facility
  • Other tasks as assigned by management

Food Safety:

  • Support good manufacturing practices (GMP) by observing proper hygiene, wearing gloves when contacting product or product surfaces, and preventing cross contamination by proper procedures.
  • Support integrated pest management by keeping doors closed when not in use, and reporting any pest activity that is observed in the work area.
  • Support foreign material control program by keeping work areas free of debris, trash, tools, or parts
  • Report any food safety or food security concern to supervisor or manager

Education & Experience:

  • High school diploma or the equivalent is required

The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf Job Descriptions

­Barista: You will sell and serve products to customers in a courteous and friendly manner. You will prepare all hot and cold drinks and handle them safely. You will verbally receive and call back customer orders in a friendly manner. You will report all customer complaints to the management. You will operate the cash register. You will earn about $12.23 per hour.

Shift Supervisor: You will assist in creating sales volume growth and supervising a profitable store. You will safely handle all hot and cold drinks or food items during drink preparation. You will respond to prevent and resolve customer service situations. You will earn about $14.15 per hour.

Assistant General Manager: You will assist the General Manager in creating sales volume growth. You will be responsible for planning and the execution of sales promotions. You will maintain efficient and friendly standards within the store.

General Manager: You will ensure adequate training of employees and great customer service at the store. You will ensure that all company drink recipes and procedures are followed by the Baristas. You will earn about $43,494 per year.

The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf Interview

Within a week after you submit an application to The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, you will be contacted and an interview will be scheduled. Some job-related questions will be asked by a manager during the interview. Also, situational questions that involve unhappy customers might be asked. After the interview, you will be informed if you are accepted for the job. Then, there will be paid training before the first day of your employment.
