It was located on the historic trail, where cattle herders were driving their longhorns on the salt grasses of the Texas Gulf Coast in the 1800s. There are about 80 Saltgrass restaurants in 10 states today, with a high number of restaurants in Texas. You can eat steaks, chicken, seafood with made-from-scratch bread, soups and desserts at Saltgrass restaurants. Saltgrass is currently owned and operated by Landry’s Restaurants.

Hours of Operation: Monday-Thursday 11:00am-9:30pm, Friday-Saturday 11:00am-10:00pm, Sunday 11:00am-9:00pm.
Job Positions & Salaries
Server: You will serve guests food and beverages. You will give information about the menu and suggest menu items according to their needs. You will aim to meet and exceed the guests’ dining experiences.
Prerequisite: 1 year of Server experience.
Busser: You will clean tables, take plates, utensils and drinkware to the kitchen to be washed, make sure that guests’ water glasses are full, and reset tables for the next service.
Bartender: You will prepare and mix drinks and beverages.
Prerequisite: 1 year of Bartender experience.
Dishwasher: You will wash the dishes.
Host / Hostess: You will greet guests as they enter the Saltgrass restaurant and show them seats.
Line Cook: In the kitchen, you will cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff. You will chop vegetables, butcher meat and prepare sauces, etc.
Prerequisite: 1 year of Line Cook experience.
To-Go Specialist: You will coordinate the business by following the recipe book, processes and procedures. You will take accurate orders by telephone or in-person, organize food orders, and deliver to guests.
Prerequisite: 1 year of restaurant service experience.
