Job Positions & Salaries
Certified Flagger: You will be flagging motorists to warn of obstacles or repair work ahead. You will set up signs and cones around work areas to divert traffic. During your work, you will also be inspecting, cleaning and repairing drainage systems, bridges, tunnels, and other structures. You will be responsible for the safety of all drivers.
Prerequisite: Knowledge and training in traffic control techniques — flagger training and certification. Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
General Laborer: You will move freight, stock, or other materials using a variety of tools and equipment such as blowtorches, forklifts, levels, lifts, power drills, grinders, saws, pressure washers, and water spraying equipment. You will be cleaning and preparing a job site as well as loading and delivering materials.
Prerequisite: Physical strength would be helpful.
Carpenter: You will build window frames, walls doors, staircases, and frame buildings from raw materials or pre-constructed items. You will be reading blueprints, drawings, and sketches to fully grasp requirements and taking measurements and calculating the size and amount of material needed.
Prerequisite: Proven experience as a carpenter or carpenter’s helper. Hands-on experience in working with carpentry materials. Excellent understanding of carpentry techniques and methods of installation and construction. Proficiency with electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools (power saws, hammers, rulers, etc.).
